We are delighted to share our programme of festive events taking place throughout December.
This year has already seen a magical start β€” here is a look back at our celebrations so far, from 1st to 11th December, along with what’s still to come.


1st December: Annual Christmas Lights & First Ever Christmas Walk

Our Christmas season began with a beautiful new tradition, the LPH Christmas Walk, starting at Jimmy’s Garden and moving up the Avenue, illuminated by tree lights adorning every lamppost.

Highlights Included:

  • Lighting of the outdoor Christmas tree & manger at Main Reception

  • Clevis Choir performance

  • Indoor Christmas tree lighting with Rosemount School students

  • Mince pies, tea, and festive treats in the sensory garden

It was a joyful, heart-warming afternoon shared by residents, families, and staff.


3rd December: Annual Army Band Christmas Concert

One of our most treasured traditions returned in full spirit.
The Army Band Christmas Concert filled the Concert Hall with festive music, emotion, and a sense of community.

Following the performance, residents enjoyed refreshments in the Day Centre while our visitors attended a reception in the Physio Department.
A special thank-you to everyone who worked behind the scenes managing seating, logistics, and parking.


7th December: Order of Malta Christmas Party

The Order of Malta once again brought warmth, kindness, and festive energy to LPH with their Christmas Party in the Concert Hall.

Residents enjoyed:

  • Christmas music & entertainment

  • Fun activities

  • Thoughtful gifts

  • A lively afternoon shared with volunteers and friends


9th to 11th December: Rosemount School Christmas Performances on the Units

Over three festive mornings, third-year students from Rosemount School brought Christmas magic directly into each unit, delivering a series of uplifting mini-shows.

Residents enjoyed:

  • Beautiful choral singing

  • Irish dancing

  • Harp playing

  • Christmas performances and warm chats

These intergenerational visits truly lit up the hospital creating joy, music, and memorable moments across every unit.


8th to 14th December: Day Centre Christmas Dinners

Seasonal decorations, warm hospitality, and festive menus created a joyful dining experience for Day Centre attendees all week long.
A heartfelt thank-you to our catering and Day Centre teams for creating such a welcoming Christmas atmosphere.


9th December: Ukulele Group Christmas Performance

Residents were treated to a cheerful and uplifting afternoon as our ukulele group filled the hall with Christmas favourites.


10 December: Nord Anglia International School Christmas Show

Students from Nord Anglia International School brought energy, music, and magic to LPH with their colourful Christmas show a highlight of our intergenerational programme every year.

22nd December: Candlelit Christmas Concert

A peaceful and atmospheric musical gathering celebrating the reflective side of Christmas.

23rd December: Santa’s Visit

Santa will tour all units, greeting residents and delivering gifts throughout the day a much-loved tradition leading into Christmas.
