Community Spirit Shines as Coffee Morning Raises €650 for Resident Activities
Leopardstown Park Hospital exceeds fundraising target thanks to incredible community support
There was plenty to celebrate at Leopardstown Park Hospital this week as our Coffee Morning and Bake Sale brought together staff, residents, families, visitors and local businesses for a wonderful morning of fun, laughter and community spirit.
Our original fundraising goal was €400 to fund a mobile petting zoo experience for our residents. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of everyone involved, we are absolutely delighted to announce that we raised an incredible €650.
Reaching – and exceeding – our target means we can now not only arrange the much-anticipated mobile petting zoo, but also host a special Elvis Night, complete with an Elvis impersonator, for one of our resident social evenings. These are experiences that will create lasting memories, encourage social engagement and bring even more joy to life in Leopardstown Park Hospital.
This fantastic achievement would not have been possible without the kindness and generosity of our local business community.

We would also like to thank every member of our Leopardstown Park Hospital community who supported the event. Staff, residents, visitors, families and friends all played their part by baking, buying, donating and volunteering.
From homemade brownies and traditional Rice Krispie buns to generous donations from parents, relatives and friends, every contribution made a difference. It was especially heartwarming to see staff members’ children getting involved by baking treats for the day, making this a true community effort spanning generations.
More than anything, the morning was about people coming together. There was a wonderful atmosphere throughout the event, with lots of laughter, great conversations, plenty of banter and, of course, no shortage of delicious cakes and treats. It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to enjoy each other’s company while supporting a cause that will directly benefit our residents.
To everyone who baked, donated, attended, volunteered or helped in any way, thank you. Your kindness and generosity have made it possible to create two very special experiences for our residents, and we cannot wait to share photographs of the mobile petting zoo and our Elvis Night in the coming weeks.
Together, we didn’t just raise money, we demonstrated the incredible generosity, compassion and community spirit that makes Leopardstown Park Hospital such a special place.
