This week, Leopardstown Park Hospital is honoured to host the Climate Justice Candle in our Chapel.

The candle, which travels around churches and schools nationwide through Eco Congregation Ireland, symbolises a shared commitment to raising awareness of climate justice. It comes with resources highlighting key environmental and social challenges, from waste management, pollution, pesticides, microplastics, and fossil fuels, to wider issues of poverty, inequality, child labour, workers’ rights, fair pay, and fair trade.

At Leopardstown Park Hospital, we are proud of the ongoing steps taken to reduce waste, promote sustainability, and care for the environment. Hosting the Climate Justice Candle gives us an opportunity to celebrate these efforts, give thanks for the beauty and bounty of creation, and encourage everyone to consider how we can safeguard our world for future generations.

The Chapel has been decorated to mark Autumn and Harvest, with more seasonal touches being added throughout the week. We warmly invite all to visit and take a moment of reflection.

📅 Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, 1st October, at 11.45 a.m. During this time, we will come together in thanksgiving and prayer for our world.
