Leopardstown Park Hospital was delighted to welcome residents, families, staff, volunteers, and friends of the Hospital to our first Annual Christmas Walk and Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Monday, 1st December 2025.

This very special event marked the beginning of the festive season on our campus and brought together our community for an afternoon filled with light, music, and celebration.

A Festive Walk to Remember

The Christmas Walk began at Jimmy’s Garden beside the fountain, where guests gathered before making their way along the Avenue, beautifully illuminated with new Christmas lights. The Avenue provided the perfect backdrop for this first-ever event.

Along the route, residents and visitors enjoyed the glow of the lights, the crisp winter atmosphere, and the joyful sense of togetherness that has always been at the heart of Leopardstown Park Hospital.

Lighting of the Outdoor Christmas Tree & Manger

The highlight of the evening was the official lighting of the outdoor Christmas tree and the manger/crib, a moment warmly received by all in attendance. This symbolic gesture marked the beginning of our Christmas celebrations and created a memorable experience for residents and families alike.

Musical magic was provided by the Clevis Choir, whose performance added seasonal cheer and warmth to the ceremony.

Indoor Celebrations in the Concert Hall

Following the walk, the festivities continued indoors in the Concert Hall with a beautiful performance by students from Rosemount School, filling the room with Christmas carols and community spirit. The lighting of the indoor Christmas tree added another special moment to the evening.

First Aid Support from the Order of Malta

We were grateful to be supported throughout the event by the Order of Malta, who provided onsite first aid cover to ensure the comfort and safety of all attendees. Their presence was greatly appreciated.

A Heartfelt Thank You

We extend our deepest thanks to all residents, families, staff, volunteers, performers, community partners, and the Order of Malta who helped make this inaugural event such a success. Your support and involvement brought joy to our residents and created a truly magical start to the Christmas season.

We look forward to making the Annual Christmas Walk & Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony a cherished Leopardstown Park Hospital tradition for many years to come.
